After the long flight, I was picked up at the airport and driven to my apartments along with some of the other students (from all over the US). The apartments are rustic 3 bedroom, one bath with a shared common area and kitchen. (I'll take some photos and update later)
After making friends with a few kids in the complex we did some shopping at the mall that is within walking distance to get some essentials (phone, internet, food) and we headed into downtown Sydney, which is about a 20 min train ride from my apartments. Being in Australia didn't relay sink in until we saw the opera house. We (Brian, Anna and I) managed to arrive just as the sun was setting and were able to take some great shots.
